25th October.... Wednesday. Always a busy one for me as it's reporting and stock taking day for the Post Office. This involves counting all the stamps and stock we have and making sure it tallies with the Post Office figures. Although it's not a particularly physical task it seems to leave me a little wilted every time I do it.
Tonight, therefore, an easy supper was required. Enter Austwicks, stage right. Austwicks is a local business run by a lovely guy called Chris. They make pies, quiches, scotch eggs, sausage rolls, etc. All homemade, all local and delivered to us twice a week. Tonight we plump for a water buffalo and mushroom pie and have it with a simple side of pea and carrots. Nothing fancy, nothing tricky just good, wholesome, homemade food heated up in minutes.
